Like New Year’s Eve, Halloween is, depending on your point of view, one of the best or worst nights of the year for going out. Halloween itself falls on a Friday this year and here’s our rundown of Halloween parties and events.

Friday nights have proved to be a tough one to crack over the past couple of years for club nights in London. Fledgling Friday night party Epic returns to Pulse in Southwark for another Friday night Halloween party with Tom Stephan and Morabito on Friday 24 October. A welcome arrival of a truly independent international club brand to London, rather than a mere franchise. There’s more to be found on Facebook.
LGBT Latin Dance Club Exilio holds its Halloween party on Saturday 25 October promising a Latino mix of music, heat, competitions, giveaways, free chupitos, and Halloween decoration. The venue is 1 Archway Close, N19 3TD London and there’s more on Facebook.
Village Drinks is holding pre-Halloween drinks on Tuesday 28 October at Soho favourite Kettners. Entry is £10. Sign up in advance online.
Halloween Night Events
Networking group, The List, is holding a free Halloween party from 8pm at Tart, 117 Charterhouse Street, EC1M 6AA. The team behind the London 2018 Gay Games bid, supported by the Out for Sport network, will be launching the countdown to Sport in the City; their week-long sports festival taking place in October 2015. Special cocktails and drinks offers on the night and prizes for best Halloween costumes. You can register in advance online.
Halloween Night Events: Soho & The West End
In Soho, Edge Bar starts off a two day celebration with Felicia Van Cartier as “Bride of the Damned” at the “Wedding Reception From Hell”. Full event details are on Facebook.
Staying in the West End, it’s a Freak Show at The Shadow Lounge. A fully decorated venue is promised along with Trick or Treat giveaways and cabaret performances. Kris Di Angelis and Munroe Bergdorf and Sam DMS are your DJs for the evening.
Friday night also marks the start of Halloween events at Circa, Ku Bar, The Yard and Manbar.
Halloween Night Events: Vauxhall
What could be more appropriate for Halloween than a night out in Vauxhall? One of London’s best regular pop nights, Push The Button celebrates Halloqueens. Tickets are on sale now. Rest assured, the RVT will be suitably decorated for Halloween, and you’re encouraged to be suitably decorated as well.
Halloween Night Events: Clapham
Staying in South London, Out in Clapham and Wandsworth LGBT present a special midnight screening of “Death Becomes Her” at the Clapham Picturehouse. Advance tickets are online.
Halloween Night Events: East London

Saturday 1 November
On to Saturday, Matinee “Pervert” returns to Dante’s Inferno (Fire in Vauxhall). After Hours event Beyond moves for one week to Elephant & Castle at The Ministry Of Sound from 6am. Individual and joint tickets for both events are online.
The capacious XXL at Pulse Southwark it’s “The Night Of The Living Zombiebears” (no doubt serving industrial quantities of The Freemasons).
Over at the Black Cap, it’s a Rocky Horror Picture Show Party with shows, special effects, give-aways, amazing decor, makeovers and surprises promised. More event details on Facebook.
Sink The Pink will be transforming Bethnal Green Working Mens Club in to a haunted house and duly promise to “scare the shit out of you”. There’s more on Facebook.
Friday 7 November: Masgayraid Ball
Moving on one week, on Friday 7 November, Troxy (490 Commercial Road, E1 OHX) hosts the Mas-Gay-Raid Ball Halloween & Bonfire Edition. Featuring a special performance and hosted by La Voix & VaVaVoom Boyz. Early bird tickets are on sale now.
