Picture highlights from Worldpride 2014 in Toronto

Over the past ten days or so, Toronto has been hosting Worldpride 2014.

Worldpride officially opened on 20 June with a performance by Serena Ryder and Melissa Etheridge at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. Events also included a mass wedding for over 100 gay couples and a number of marches, culminating in the main Pride march through Toronto on Sunday, with a clearly very ebullient crowd, supervised by a very willing local police force.

On a less positive note, Worldpride also marked the penultimate weekend for Fly nightclub.

Some readers may recall London hosted Worldpride in 2012, and the less said about it the better! Worldpride 2015 is due to take place in Riga, Latvia (also under the name Europride).
