“This Is Prohibition” launches at The Sidings, London Bridge, on Saturday 16 February 2013

It’s always good to hear news of new club nights and events. Not least because it serves to counter some of the recent venue closures. Choice is also good for everybody and familiarity can easily breed contempt. And as the London club scene emerges from its period of winter hibernation, “This Is Prohibition” launches on Saturday 16 February 2013 occupying four arches at The Sidings in London Bridge (the former home of XXL).

The event brings together four existing clubbing brands, Lovechild, Bear Necessity, Queer Nation and Butch into one venue and, ergo, a pleasingly broad appeal and crowd. DJs include Hi Fi Sean, Tony English, Oliver M, Sharon O Love, Jeffrey Hinton, Alessandro Londra, Tony Bruno, Mista Pierre and Ben Jamin and as yet unannounced guests.

Early bird tickets are available at a wallet friendly £5. The Sidings is at 51-53 Southwark Street, London Bridge, SE1 1TE.

Update: Sadly This Is Prohibition did not continue beyond its inaugural night.
